Hackathon 1.0 — Build for Hull
A build weekend with one brief: make something for Hull. Developers, designers, and founders team up to build for the city, its people, and its services. Date & venue coming soon.
What is Hackathon 1.0?
Hackathon 1.0 is Village Square's first build weekend. You turn up with a laptop and an idea (or just the laptop — teams form on the day), and by the end you've shipped something and demoed it to the room.
It's open to everyone: engineers, designers, product people, students, and anyone who wants to build. No experience with hackathons needed.
Why Build for Hull
Every project starts from the same brief: build something for Hull. That could mean tools for local services, ways to explore the city's open data, projects for community groups, or anything that makes life here a little better.
Circuit 1.0 showed us the talent in this city. Hackathon 1.0 is about pointing that talent at the city itself.
