Why we do this

Circuit 1.0 proved it.

In April, Hull's tech community turned up for our first flagship meetup — talks, lightning sessions, and a room that stayed loud past closing. It proved what we suspected: the talent is here, and it wants to build together. So next, we're pointing that energy at the city itself.

Testimonials

What our community says
about the Square

I walked into Circuit 1.0 knowing nobody and left with a group chat, two coffee plans, and a reason to stay in Hull's tech scene.
Tosin OjoCircuit 1.0 attendee
The lightning talks were the highlight for me — short, sharp, and honest. You could tell every speaker actually builds things.
Sodiq AsafaCircuit 1.0 attendee
Hull finally has a room where tech people actually talk to each other. It didn't feel like an event, it felt like a community.
OluwaferanmiCircuit 1.0 attendee
Really well organised. Great energy from start to finish, and the conversations after the talks were worth the trip on their own.
Oladapo OgunfeitimiCircuit 1.0 attendee
As someone still early in my tech journey, I never once felt out of place. People were generous with their time and advice.
Celestina AdesokanCircuit 1.0 attendee
The room stayed loud long after the last talk ended — that tells you everything. Can't wait for the hackathon.
Olayinka OyewoleCircuit 1.0 attendee
You could feel that something is starting in Hull. Circuit 1.0 was proof there's real talent here that just needed a square to meet in.
Isaac Ayomide OkunlolaCircuit 1.0 attendee
I came for the talks and stayed for the people. Met designers, founders, and engineers I'd never have crossed paths with otherwise.
Oladimeji ElizabethCircuit 1.0 attendee
Circuit 1.0 felt like the start of something. If this is edition one, I'm not missing whatever comes next.
